Dani Moonkiza - a.k.a Moonatik

Trained in Music Composition and Music Production, Dani has also developed production, events, and artistic development projects, gaining a broad understanding of the music industry. At Other Side Academy, he takes part in developing and evolving the teaching method, bringing his experience as a producer and artist to create training based on practice, experimentation, and real knowledge of the music environment. He doesn’t just teach what he knows. He shares what he’s lived.

David Moonkiza - a.k.a Mankiza

22 years of experience behind the decks +50 record releases +30 productions for other artists +20 record labels 10 years of experience in Barcelona’s electronic music scene Musical presence in +9 countries Resident DJ at The Society Of Art and La Terrrazza Barcelona Since his beginnings in Chile, David Moonkiza has built his career from the foundations of old-school DJing, developing his technique and musical ear through vinyl mixing. His evolution took him to some of the leading clubs and festivals across South America and, later, to Barcelona, where he brought the Moonkiza project to life alongside Daniel. Since then, he has developed a career deeply rooted in the booth and club culture, becoming an active part of the city’s electronic music scene. Today, he shares all of this experience in the classroom, combining the foundations he has developed over more than two decades with the tools and techniques of modern DJing. Beyond simply learning how to mix, his goal is for each student to develop their own judgment, confidence, and identity behind the decks.

Artistic project

Moonkiza is the artistic project created by Dani and David, mentors at Other Side DJ Academy. With more than 12 years of experience behind the decks in Barcelona, they have developed their own distinctive sound, leading them to become part of the line-ups and resident DJs at venues and events such as The Society Of Art, La Terrrazza Barcelona, and City Hall, among others. A project built on experience, musical identity, and a deep connection with the dancefloor.
